It's ideal to wash your windows when there is no direct sunlight. This dries most solutions prematurely leaving a residue.
Use your favorite window cleaning solution (we prefer a half vinegar/half water mix in our own spray bottles). Squeegee off the mix. For any buildup on the windows use a microfiber cloth and wipe it off, then spray again and squeegee.
You can use microfiber (or any other lint-free cloth) for decent results or get dang good at a squeegee and half a near perfect, professional shine. Wipe off your squeegee with that microfiber cloth.
Window tracks can build up with dust, hair, dead bugs and more. Couple that with condensation and all of a sudden we're left with a nasty mess at the bottom.
For this, we're going to need our two old friends white vinegar and baking soda. Grab a toothbrush, a microfiber cloth, butter knife, and some paper towels.
First, spread the baking soda around, let it pile up in the corners and where the gunk has built up. Then pour a little vinegar onto the baking soda (it should bubble a bit) and leave it for about 10-15 minutes (a good time to start the same process on the next couple of windows).
Now, use your old toothbrush to work all the gunk out into the middle. Take your paper towel and dispose of this.
With your cloth, wipe the rest clean -- using the butter knife to get into all the nooks and crannies. Give your tracks one last wipe down and admire your work!
If it has been especially dry you may not need to use baking soda and vinegar and a little elbow grease with the toothbrush can take the dried gunk out.
